Thank you for visiting my Design Portfolio. Most of my experience is on residential architecture. Not just from my early years abroad, but also during my work in California.
A big project that I was very involved with, was a development in Palo Alto California, which is highlighted in this website in different places. It was a big lot that housed a concrete (Type I) multistory building that used to be the headquarter of Sun Microsystems. From that big lot, the new urban infill development surged, and even as they were multiple used and the lot was subdivided, it was worked as a big design. Big part of that development was dedicated to the Campus for Jewish Life. This lot had a big community center, a preschool, sport fields, adult education facilities, after school facilities, a big multi-use auditorium, party areas, communal open spaces, big concrete podium with parking and other facilities, and a high end senior living series of buildings towering over all this.
Here are some parts where I was highly involved on the design and development, and othe civic use projects, like the Santa Clara Conference Center Extension.

Extension for the Santa Clara Conference Center
When this project first came to me, the initial schematics had already been completed, and the overall objective was to extend the existing old concrete structure. This extension would incorporate a modern metallic non-combustible structure (Type 2), along with a striking glass curtain wall that would elegantly surround it. The design of the spaces needed to be highly flexible, accommodating a myriad of potential uses, including kitchen facilities, service areas, storage options, and well-appointed bathroom spaces, ensuring that the area could be adapted to meet diverse needs over time. I worked on the design development, the construction details, permitting, construction documents and bidding materials.
