My name is Isabel Jubes-Flamerich. From here, you can access my Design Portfolio,

I hold a professional bachelor’s in architecture from Universidad Central de Venezuela, a master’s in architecture and environmental design from UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, and a minor in computer analysis and programming from Universidad José María Vargas. These academic achievements, along with additional post-graduate studies and certifications, have enriched my passion for design, community service, and climate awareness.

I’ve worked on a diverse range of projects in both California and abroad, serving as a licensed architect in Venezuela and fulfilling roles such as Project Designer, Job Captain, and Green Rater in California. Recently, I have been an associate instructor of architecture at community colleges while continuing my lifelong commitment to designing, building, and advocating for a more sustainable and equitable world.

As an experienced educator, writer, public speaker, and community organizer, I advocate for equity, education, and environmentally friendly practices. My background as a designer spans various media, including architecture, planning, graphic design, web design, and BIM. I’m also a certified Green Building Professional and Green Points Rater with extensive experience in sustainable projects.

My strengths include excellent communication skills, especially through bilingual educational and cultural audio productions. I am a thorough planner, a creative problem-solver, and a disciplined multitasker, known for leading both youth and professional teams through complex design and construction projects with attention to detail and efficiency.

More about my life, and believes:

As a Designer, I have committed to sustainable principles and advocates for a healthier build and natural environment. I know that healthy buildings make healthy people, and a healthy environment encourages better education and a sustainable world where we can all thrive for generations to come.

As a Radio Host/Producer, I know the importance of being a good listener and communicator who actively works to showcase the academic achievements of minorities to inspire higher goals in education for all. Isabel produces podcasts, and radio shows from Stanford University Radio and is always interested in bilingual and multicultural communities. With this tool, I have been working hard on showcasing the positive achievements of minorities in our society for over 12 years, helping to change stereotypes about minorities and immigrant communities.

As a parent, I have learned how important community involvement in education is; in fact, extensive involvement inside the classroom and innovating around educational experiences helped her to focus on the next phase of her life.

I have been part of school activities, parent participation schooling, hands-on project-based learning activities, cub scout leader, assistant scoutmaster, and after school teaching, plus leading and coaching teams in a variety of educational and sport activities throughout the years.
